Construction materials sector has got $ 25 billion of foreign investments in 2007
In 2007, investments into the building materials sector came from 37 countries, with 17 countries investing over $ 1 billion each. The majority of investments, approximately one third, came from Germany, closely followed by Great Britain and Poland. The total of these three countries' investments makes more than a half of all foreign investments into the building materials market in 2007. Investments from countries such as Turkey, Estonia, Austria and Italy were also significant. The major part of investments has been used for the production of such product groups as: dry plaster mixes, ceramic and sanitary engineering products, concrete products, fiber glasses, wood processing, plastic product manufacturing and brick manufacturing.
