Inter’Year contest

172 works of designers and architects from five countries - Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine - were submitted to the IX All-Ukrainian competition Inter'Year 2011 for the Best Realised interior.

Winners's works will be presented at a special stand at Moscow exhibition MosBuild 2011 April, 5-8. Russians will see the top 16 Ukrainian interior design projects of 2010-2011. In addition, winners will attend workshops of jury members in Germany and the world's largest designer furniture trade show in North Carolina, USA.

«I could not expect that the contest will be a third more than last year by application quantity. Level of the presented interiors grew to a real class. Everyone is a winner, naturally. Participants do understand the space, they manage to keep the style, without any false or unnecessary details», - Vadim Zhezherin, the head of the Inter'Year 2011 jury, president of the Kiev National Union of Architects of Ukraine, claims.

According to Elena Oliynyk, head of the organising committee of the competition, Director of Architecture and Prestige, this competition brought together strong representatives of Kyiv, Kharkov, Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk design schools and young architects whose projects, however, have been widely accepted in Ukraine. Moreover, two this year debutants - Vladimir Nepiyvoda and Dmitry Bonesko - immediately won first and second prises in two categories.

«Inter'Year contest works for the prestige of the profession of architect and designer in the public consciousness, promotes support for talented architects and presents the interior as an art. So Premier Expo company willingly provides a venue for the contest at our KyivInteriors exhibition», - Ekaterina Okunskaya, Premier Expo sales director emphasizes.

The contest is organized by Kyiv Organisation of the National Union of Architects, Architecture and Prestige LLC and Trading House «Carmen», and co-organised by Premier Expo and ITE Group Plc. General sponsor is Grohe. Competition is supported by the National Union of Architects of Ukraine.
